The Counter Club Network connects in-person spaces exploring radical ideas for social and cultural change in response to climate and nature breakdown.
It was initiated by radical events venue Kairos in London to encourage and support the establishment of aligned, convivial spaces around the world.
Humanity is entering a period of unprecedented transformation as a consequence of climate and ecological breakdown.
Global systems, political institutions, our relationships with each other and the rest of life, even the stories we tell about what it means to be human – everything is heading into flux.
Yet mainstream intellectual discourse is failing to embrace the new reality.
We need to take an imaginative leap, to step outside our long-held certainties and think again.
To do this, we need dedicated places in which to gather, learn and discuss. Places where radical thinkers across disciplines can share and explore their ideas. And where anyone open to reimagining our broken civilisation can come together in curiosity and community.

As well as a means of connecting established spaces, the Counter Club Network exists to provide support for groups and individuals setting up and growing their own spaces. As more spaces join, it will become a forum for mutual support, skill sharing and knowledge exchange.
